Time 10m

Yield 3 cups (approximately)

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 garlic cloves
8 ounces butter, at room temperature
16 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (the real stuff, and freshly-grated)
1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced or 1 teaspoon dried dill weed, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon chives
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Have cheeses and butter at room temperature.
  • Crush garlic.
  • Mix cheeses, butter and garlic.
  • Add remaining ingredients, mix well.
  • Pack into a container just large enough to hold the boursin and store in refrigerator.
  • To serve, bring to room temperature.
  • Serve with crackers.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the spread will taste. Use fresh herbs, spices, and dairy products.
  • Don't over-process the cheese. Over-processing can make the spread too smooth and runny. Pulse the cheese in a food processor or blender just until it's combined with the other ingredients.
  • Chill the spread before serving. This will help it to firm up and make it easier to spread.
  • Serve the spread with crackers, bread, or vegetables. It can also be used as a dip for chips or pretzels.
  • Experiment with different flavors. You can add herbs, spices, or other ingredients to create your own unique spread.

Conclusion:

This Boursin cheese spread copycat recipe is an easy and delicious way to enjoy this classic cheese spread at home. It's perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a snack. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a spread that tastes just as good as the original. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy appetizer, give this recipe a try.
