¼ cup bourbon
¼ cup dried cherries or cranberries
½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon kosher salt
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups pecan halves
1 Tablespoon orange zest

Steps:

  • Soak cherries in bourbon for 30 minutes.

4 c pecan halves
1 stick butter
1/3 c jack daniels tennessee honey bourbon
1 1/2 c dark brown sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp mace
3/4 tsp salt

  • 1. Toast pecans @ 350 degrees on a cookie sheet until nicely toasted (10-15 minutes).
  • 2. In sauce pan on medium heat, melt butter. Add brown sugar, spices, salt, and stir until sugar dissolves completely.
  • 3. Add bourbon and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • 4. Add pecans to sauce and mix to coat. Pour pecans onto wax paper or parchment and allow to cool at least 20 minutes.
