THE ABSOLUTE BEST MOIST BUTTERY BLUEBERRY COFFEE CAKE

The Absolute Best Moist Buttery Blueberry Coffee Cake image

This is the best coffee cake, it has a layer of blueberries between two layers of the most wonderful moist buttery cake then topped with a sweet buttery topping --- you could substitute 1 cup sour cream for the cream cheese but the cream cheese is better, also almond extract can be used in place of vanilla --- I serve this cake slightly warm with ice cream and it is even better the next day --- you will love this cake! :)

Tips:

  • Prep morsels: If frozen blueberries are available, keep them frozen until baking. Sprinkle fresh berries with 1 tablespoon of flour to prevent excess moisture.
  • Soften cream cheese: Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before blending, or the cake may have lumps.
  • Don't overmix: Overmixing can lead to a dense cake. Blend only until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake accurately: Utilize a toothpick to test the cake's readiness: insert it into the middle; if it emerges clean, the cake is baked. Leave it in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack.
  • Glaze adjustability: Feel free to customize the glaze. Adjusting the powdered sugar and lemon juice can affect its consistency and sweetness..

Conclusion:

With its moist and fluffy texture, combined with the sweetness of the blueberries and the tangy cream cheese, this Blueberry Best Coffee Cake makes for an delectable treat. Its preparation is not difficult and the result is a deliciously tender cake. The recipe is easily adjustable to fit personal preferences and can be enjoyed on any occasion. Whether you're looking for a heartwarming breakfast item or an afternoon snack, this recipe has you covered.
