Tips:

  • Use a good quality, heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven for frying the chicken. This will help to evenly distribute the heat and prevent the chicken from sticking.
  • Season the chicken well with salt and pepper before frying. This will help to enhance the flavor of the chicken.
  • Use a neutral-flavored oil for frying, such as vegetable oil or canola oil. Avoid using olive oil, as it has a low smoke point and can burn easily.
  • Fry the chicken in small batches so that the pieces have enough room to cook evenly. Overcrowding the pot will cause the chicken to steam rather than fry.
  • Cook the chicken over medium-high heat until it is golden brown and crispy on the outside and cooked through on the inside. This will take about 8-10 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the fried chicken to a wire rack to drain off any excess oil before serving.

Conclusion:

The Blue Willow Inn's Fried Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that is perfect for any occasion. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the flavor is simply amazing. If you are looking for a new fried chicken recipe to try, this is the one for you.
