Tips:

  • Choose ripe avocados: For the best flavor and texture, use ripe avocados that yield to gentle pressure when pressed. Cut them in half, remove the pit and scoop out the flesh using a spoon.
  • Use quality black beans: For the best results, use canned black beans that are organic and non-GMO. Rinse and drain them thoroughly before using.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened: To ensure a smooth and creamy filling, make sure the cream cheese is softened at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before using.
  • Shred the cheese finely: For a smooth and even distribution of cheese in the burritos, shred it finely using a cheese grater.
  • Warm the tortillas before assembling: To make the burritos more pliable and easier to roll, warm the tortillas in a skillet or on a griddle over medium heat for a few seconds on each side.
  • Don't overfill the burritos: To prevent the burritos from becoming too bulky and difficult to roll, don't overfill them with the filling. Aim for about 1/2 cup of filling per burrito.
  • Roll the burritos tightly: To ensure that the burritos stay intact when cooking, roll them tightly. Start by folding in the sides and then roll the burrito up from the bottom.
  • Cook the burritos until golden brown: To achieve a crispy and flavorful exterior, cook the burritos in a hot skillet with a little oil until they are golden brown on all sides.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Once the burritos are cooked, serve them immediately with your favorite toppings such as salsa, guacamole, sour cream, or shredded lettuce.

These black bean and cream cheese burritos are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
