Tips:

  • To achieve the best flavor, it's recommended to use a high-quality red wine. A bold and fruity wine, like a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Merlot, will impart a rich flavor to the biscotti.
  • For a crispier texture, bake the biscotti for a few minutes longer than the recommended time. However, keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
  • If you prefer a softer biscotti, remove them from the oven a minute or two before the recommended time. This will result in a slightly chewy texture.
  • Allow the biscotti to cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help to ensure a clean cut and prevent the biscotti from crumbling.
  • Store the biscotti in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

Red wine biscotti are a delicious and versatile treat that can be enjoyed on their own or served with a variety of accompaniments. Whether you prefer them crispy or chewy, these biscotti are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. So next time you have a bottle of red wine open, be sure to try this recipe for a delightful homemade treat.
