BING CHERRY SALAD
This is a salad my great grandma use to make and is one of my favorites to eat during the holiday season. Most people make this creamy by melting the cream cheese or dissolving it in the juice. We actually add small chunks of the cheese after the mix has cooled. So you have a clear gelatin with little white chunks in it. So good!

Sweet or sour cherries can be used. I used sour because that is what grows on our tree. Got this off the internet and altered it somewhat. No need to pit all those cherries. This one is easy! Time to make does not include time for water to boil in water bath canner.

BING CHERRY JELLO MOLD
My friend Naomi gave me this recipe some years a go. I love it and think it is the prettiest color for a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner table. I've never added the pecans because my father will not eat nuts but I think they would be very good in it.( Cooking time includes refrigeration time)

Tips:
- For best results, use fresh Bing cherries. Frozen cherries can also be used, but they should be thawed and drained before using.
- To easily pit the cherries, use a cherry pitter. If you don't have a cherry pitter, you can use a paring knife to cut around the pit and then pop it out.
- If you don't have any lemon juice, you can use lime juice instead.
- The amount of sugar you add to the Jell-O mixture can be adjusted to taste. If you like your Jell-O tart, add less sugar. If you like it sweet, add more sugar.
- To make the Jell-O mixture even more flavorful, add a teaspoon of almond extract or vanilla extract.
- The Jell-O mixture can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before adding the whipped topping and cherries.
Conclusion:
Bing cherry Jell-O is a delicious and refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like your Jell-O tart or sweet, with or without whipped topping, Bing cherry Jell-O is sure to be a hit.
