Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 package chicken legs
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder, to taste
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 cup beer
4 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
3 colored bell peppers, diced
4 tablespoons beef broth
3 onions, chopped
Cornstarch, mixed with a little water, as a thickening agent

Steps:

  • Cut each chicken leg into 4 pieces. Marinate in soy sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder and oil. Saute until brown, slowly adding the beer. Once the beer evaporates, add 4 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce and saute until all liquid is absorbed, and set aside. Saute bell peppers, in oil, beef broth, onions, salt, pepper and cornstarch for thickness. Top the chicken legs with the vegetables.

Tips:

  • Choose the right beer: Use a beer that you would enjoy drinking. A light beer will produce a lighter flavor in the chicken, while a dark beer will produce a richer flavor.
  • Brown the chicken before cooking: This will help to develop flavor and color in the chicken.
  • Add vegetables to the pot: This will help to add flavor and nutrition to the dish. Common vegetables to add include onions, carrots, celery, and potatoes.
  • Season the chicken with your favorite herbs and spices: This will help to add even more flavor to the dish. Some popular herbs and spices to use include rosemary, thyme, garlic, and paprika.
  • Cook the chicken on low heat: This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out.
  • Let the chicken rest before serving: This will help to keep the juices in the chicken and prevent it from becoming dry.

Conclusion:

Beer-cooked chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover beer. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a flavorful and satisfying dish that the whole family will enjoy.
