1 pound beef top sirloin steak, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
1 tablespoon canola oil

2-1/4 cups water
1 package (6 ounces) long grain and wild rice mix
1 small tomato, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped green onion

1 can(s) (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes

1 pkg (8 ounce) mozzarella cheese
