1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon BBQ sauce, and extra to serve
1 tablespoon peri-peri sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons bbq seasoning, divided
3 tablespoons coconut oil
⅓ cup yellow popcorn kernals
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 can bbq chips

Steps:

  • Wash and drain the chicken breasts.

  • Sprinkle the dry mixture on the chicken breasts, making sure to get both sides.
  • Marinate the chicken breasts in the fridge for 4 hours.
  • After 4 hours or so, preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 stick butter
2 c brown sugar
1 c bbq sauce
1/2 c honey
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
5 qt popped popcorn

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (95 degrees C).
  • 2. Place popcorn and almonds in a very large bowl.
  • 3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, bbq sauce, corn syrup, ginger, jalepino and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring 4 minutes.
  • 4. Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla.
  • 5. Pour in a thin stream over popcorn, stirring to coat.
  • 6. Place in two large cookie sheets and bake in preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes, for 1 hour
  • 7. Remove from oven and let cool completely on cool surface, before breaking into pieces.
  • 8. Note: I use very large commercial cookie sheets. Make sure to spread popcorn out very thin. This way popcorn evenly bakes for sugar to caramelize. Note: Optional: Add 1/2 tsp of Lemon Grass for different twist in flavor also. Note: Store immediately into zip loc bags to keep fresh

BBQ POPCORN

BBQ Popcorn image

Great tasting snack when watching T.V.

Provided by Nancy Allen

Categories     Popcorn

Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 bag(s) snack size butter flavored popcorn
1 tsp bbq seasoning rub (I used McCormick's Smokehouse Maple)
3 Tbsp Kraft Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Pop your snack size butter popcorn in the microwave. (follow time given on package)
  • 2. Take bag of popcorn out (HOT-be careful). Open the bag and add your bbq rub or seasonings and cheese.
  • 3. Close bag and shake. Pour into bowl. Good flavor!

Tips:

  • Choose the right popcorn kernels. Not all popcorn kernels are created equal. Some varieties are better suited for stovetop popping, while others are better for microwaving or air popping. For BBQ popcorn, you'll want to use a variety that pops up big and fluffy.
  • Use good quality oil. The type of oil you use will also affect the taste of your popcorn. For BBQ popcorn, use a flavorful oil like olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil.
  • Add the BBQ seasoning at the right time. If you add the seasoning too early, it will burn. If you add it too late, it won't have a chance to flavor the popcorn. The best time to add the seasoning is after the popcorn has popped and is still hot.
  • Be careful not to overcook the popcorn. Overcooked popcorn is tough and chewy. Cook the popcorn until it starts to pop, then remove it from the heat immediately.
  • Serve the popcorn immediately. Popcorn is best enjoyed fresh. Once it's popped, it will start to lose its flavor and texture.

Conclusion:

BBQ popcorn is a delicious and easy-to-make snack that's perfect for parties, movie nights, or a casual get-together. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful snack that everyone will love. So next time you're looking for a tasty treat, give BBQ popcorn a try. You won't be disappointed!
