Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp. Fresh shrimp will give your dip the best flavor. If you can't find fresh shrimp, frozen shrimp will also work, but make sure to thaw it completely before using.
  • Don't overcook the shrimp. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery. Cook the shrimp just until it is pink and opaque.
  • Use a good quality cream cheese. A good quality cream cheese will make your dip smooth and creamy. Avoid using a low-fat or non-fat cream cheese, as these will make your dip grainy.
  • Shred the cheese finely. Finely shredded cheese will melt more evenly into your dip. You can use a food processor or a box grater to shred the cheese.
