KIELBASA APPLE KABOBS
This is a super simple recipe I copied from the Whole Foods Market website. The grilled kielbasa have such a wonderful flavor. You can even use turkey kielbasa to save on calories and fat. I use more apple just because my kids like the way they taste off the grill. It's okay to let the ingredients sit in the lemon juice mixture for a few minutes. I was concerned about that at first, but it does not overpower or alter the flavor of the dish. I also don't use the skewers. I use a grilling basket - it's much faster!! I serve with couscous.

KIELBASA WITH GOLDEN ONIONS AND APPLE
Steps:
- Lightly score each piece of sausage in several places with a sharp paring knife. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderate heat until hot but not smoking, then brown half of sausage, turning occasionally, until golden, about 4 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and cover to keep warm. Pour off fat from skillet and wipe skillet clean. Add remaining tablespoon oil to skillet and brown remaining sausage in same manner, transferring to bowl as cooked.
- Wipe skillet clean again, then cook onions with salt and pepper in butter over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, peel, core, and finely chop apple. Stir apple and broth into onion mixture and simmer briskly, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until apple is tender, 6 to 7 minutes. Add sausage and simmer, stirring, until heated through, about 1 minute.
GRILLED KIELBASA KEBABS
Found this in a weekender magazine (the type that come in the Sunday paper) and love it! Tweaked it a bit. It's extremely easy to make, and if doubled or tripled, it would be great for an inexpensive addition to a summer party. Plus, it helps to use up summer veggies! I like to serve this with rice and steamed broccoli.

BARBECUED KIELBASA AND APPLE KEBABS
Polska Kielbasa is good when grilled and glazed. The fruity sauce is a natural for the threesome: onion, sausage and apples. The recipe makes just enough sauce for the glaze; nothing leftover for dipping.

- Use a variety of apples: Different varieties of apples will give your kebabs different flavors and textures. Try using a mix of sweet and tart apples, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Gala.
- Don't overcrowd the skewers: When assembling your kebabs, make sure to leave some space between the kielbasa and apples so that they can cook evenly.
- Cook over medium heat: Cooking the kebabs over medium heat will help to prevent them from burning. Be patient and cook the kebabs until the kielbasa is cooked through and the apples are tender.
