A lady I worked with brought this in one day, and it was a hit. Now it is the favorite of all my dinner guests. It's great for a covered dish dinner too. I have made this also without the meat, and it is well received.

Baked Ziti Feta Pasta image

Baked Feta pasta has become a viral trend that we're seeing everywhere. So, of course, we had to put our twist on the insanely popular recipe. In this version, we've turned it into a flavorful baked ziti. Feta and tomatoes are baked until the cheese is creamy and the tomatoes are bursting with flavor. Then, they're combined with pasta, Italian herbs, and mozzarella cheese. The ziti pasta absorbs the creamy tomato sauce to create a must-try baked pasta dish.

2 pint(s) grape tomatoes
1/2 cup(s) olive oil
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1 teaspoon(s) dried rosemary

  • Sprinkle the top with mozzarella cheese.
  • Return to the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with a little additional basil. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • For a creamy and flavorful sauce, use a combination of ricotta, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses.
  • To prevent the pasta from becoming mushy, cook it al dente according to the package instructions.
  • Layer the ziti noodles, sauce, and cheeses in a baking dish, starting and ending with sauce to ensure even cooking and prevent dryness.
  • Bake the ziti at a high temperature (400°F/200°C) for a crispy top and bubbly sauce.
  • Let the baked ziti rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the pasta to set.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for a pop of color and extra flavor.

Conclusion:

Baked ziti with feta is a versatile and delicious pasta dish that can be customized to your liking. You can add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini for a healthier option.
