I love the sweet and tangy pineapple sauce. I serve this over rice and accompany it with green beans. This recipe was handed down to me from my mother-in-law many years ago.

Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and avoid any scrambling.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your dish will taste. If possible, use organic or locally-sourced ingredients.
  • Don't Overcook the Chicken: Chicken is a delicate protein that can easily be overcooked. To ensure that your chicken remains tender and juicy, cook it until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Use a Large Skillet: A large skillet will give the chicken and vegetables plenty of room to cook evenly. If you don't have a large skillet, you can cook the chicken and vegetables in batches.
  • Season with Herbs and Spices: Don't be afraid to experiment with different herbs and spices to flavor your chicken. Some popular options include garlic, paprika, chili powder, cumin, and oregano.
  • Serve Immediately: Baked Hawaiian chicken skillet is best served immediately after it is cooked. This will ensure that the chicken and vegetables are at their best.
