Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 oz cream cheese
1/4 c milk
1 Tbsp flour
1/8 tsp salt
6 large eggs
1 Tbsp dijon mustard
1 c heaping cup cheddar cheese (grated) divided
1 c ham (cooked and chopped)
1/2 c green onions (chopped)
2 pinch smoked paprika
dash of black pepper
dash of garlic powder
1/4 medium red sweet pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Line the bottom and sides of a greased 9 x 13 baking dish with parchment paper; grease the paper and set aside.
  • 2. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and slowly add milk until smooth. Add flour and salt; mix until combined.
  • 3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs until blended. Add cream cheese mixture; mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until eggs are puffed and set.
  • 4. Remove from the oven and use parchment paper to remove egg from the pan. Immediately spread with mustard and sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese. Sprinkle with ham, onions and 1/2 cup cheese.
  • 5. Roll up from a short side, peeling parchment paper away while rolling. Sprinkle top of roll with the remaining cheese; place roll in pan and bake 3-4 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
  • 6. Place the omelet on a plate and slice into 6 pieces.

Tips:

  • To ensure the smoothest omelet, whisk the eggs and milk together until well combined and frothy.
  • Use a non-stick skillet to prevent the omelet from sticking and tearing.
  • Cook the omelet over medium heat so that it cooks evenly throughout.
  • Do not overcook the omelet, as it will become tough and dry.
  • For a more flavorful omelet, use a variety of cheeses, such as cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  • Add your favorite fillings to the omelet, such as ham, bacon, vegetables, or herbs.
  • Serve the omelet immediately, or wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for later.

Conclusion:

The baked ham and cheese omelet roll is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With its protein-packed eggs, flavorful ham, and melted cheese, this omelet roll is a satisfying and nutritious meal.
