2 cups brussels sprouts, halved
3 bacon strips, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Place brussels sprouts in a saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and keep warm., In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove to paper towels; drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings. Saute onion and mushrooms in the drippings for 3-5 minutes or until tender., Add the broth, salt and pepper; bring to a boil.
