Tips:

  • Use day-old mashed potatoes for the best texture. Freshly mashed potatoes will be too wet and sticky.
  • If you don't have any day-old mashed potatoes, you can make some quickly by boiling potatoes until they are tender, then mashing them with butter, milk, and salt.
  • Don't overmix the potato mixture. Overmixing will make the potato cakes tough.
  • Be careful not to overcrowd the pan when cooking the potato cakes. If the pan is too crowded, the potato cakes will not cook evenly.
  • Serve the potato cakes hot with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.

Conclusion:

Bacon Cheddar Potato Cakes are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or side dish. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be served as a main course. With their crispy exterior and creamy, cheesy interior, these potato cakes are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
