Time 20m

Yield 2 cups, 10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
4 ounces swiss cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons green onions, slices
8 bacon, slices crisp-cooked (drained and crumbled)
1/2 cup crushed buttery cracker

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan (or could use microwave), combine cream cheese, ranch dressing, swiss cheese and green onion slices. Heat until cheese is melted; stirring constantly until smooth. Place in a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle with bacon and crushed crackers. Serve with whole crackers.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your dip will taste. Use thick-cut bacon, sharp Swiss cheese, and fresh herbs.
  • Cook the bacon until it's crispy: Crispy bacon adds a delicious smoky flavor to the dip. Cook it over medium heat until it's browned and crispy.
  • Use a good quality cheese: Swiss cheese is a classic choice for bacon dip, but you can also use other types of cheese, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère.
  • Don't overcook the cheese: Overcooked cheese will become tough and rubbery. Cook it just until it's melted and smooth.
  • Season the dip to taste: Add salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste. You can also add a splash of hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce for a little extra flavor.
  • Serve the dip immediately: Bacon and Swiss cheese dip is best served immediately, while it's still hot and bubbly. You can serve it with crackers, chips, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Bacon and Swiss cheese dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that's perfect for any occasion. It's creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Plus, it's always a hit with guests. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy snack or appetizer, give this bacon and Swiss cheese dip a try. You won't be disappointed.
