JUNE BUG (NON-ALCOHOLIC)

June Bug (Non-Alcoholic) image

This was posted in 6/2010's Better Homes and Gardens magazine. I'm in perpetual search for different things to make with my grandkids. The very name tickled them to death. A great summertime drink. Note: To make a version using alcohol just add 1/2 cup white rum. In the South a june bug is what we call an adorable pesky child...so apropos.

Time 8m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup boiling water
2 green tea bags
2 cups white grape juice, no-sugar-added
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 cup ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • Pour the boiling water over the tea bags & steep for 5 minutes or until strong & dark, then remove the tea bags & cool the tea to room temperature.
  • In a small pitcher, combine tea, grape juice & lemon juice & refrigerate until well chilled.
  • To serve, divide among 4 wine glasses & top off each with 1/4 cup of ginger ale.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe ingredients. This will ensure that your aribanon is as flavorful as possible.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. If you add too much fruit, it will not cook evenly and will become mushy.
  • Cook the aribanon over medium heat. This will help to prevent the fruit from burning.
  • Stir the aribanon frequently. This will help to prevent the fruit from sticking to the pan and will also help to distribute the heat evenly.
  • Serve the aribanon warm. This is when it is at its best.

Conclusion:

Aribanon is a delicious and refreshing alcoholic beverage that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like it sweet, sour, or tart, there is an aribanon recipe out there for you. So next time you are looking for a fun and festive drink, give aribanon a try. You won't be disappointed!
