Tips:

  • Use a stand mixer or hand mixer to cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. This will help to create a smooth and even dough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help to prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set around the edges but still soft in the center. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before dipping them in the caramel. This will help to prevent the caramel from melting.
  • If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the caramel by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If the caramel forms a soft ball, it is ready.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Conclusion:

Apple spice caramel cookies are a delicious and festive treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like them soft and chewy or crispy and crunchy, these cookies are sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give these apple spice caramel cookies a try.
