Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples for a more complex flavor. Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn are all good choices.
  • If you don't have any vanilla pudding mix, you can make your own by whisking together 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a saucepan. Slowly whisk in 2 cups of milk and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue to simmer for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • To make a healthier version of this salad, use Greek yogurt instead of whipped topping.
  • For a more decadent salad, add a layer of chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans, between the layers of fruit and pudding.
  • Serve this salad immediately, or chill it for a few hours before serving.

Conclusion:

Apple snicker salad is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make, and it is always a hit with a crowd.
