APPLE RAISIN SPICE CAKE
Grandma wrote down the recipe for this inviting cake on a piece of brown paper bag. It's loaded with popular spices, so the aroma while baking is out of this world! The warm sauce makes it moist...and special. Add a dollop of whipped topping for a real treat. -Shirley Joan Helfenbein, Lapeer, Michigan

APPLE, RAISIN, WALNUT CAKE
The girls and boys in my junior high home economics classes like this cake because it's not too sweet. I like it because it has high fiber and nutritional value-the apples are used unpeeled. Parents who have apple trees are always glad to donate the apples!

APPLESAUCE, RAISIN AND NUT CAKE
This is an old recipe that my grandma got off of a VB apple sauce can. She always iced it with plain boiled icing. If you can't find pastry flour, you can mix you own by combining cake flour and all-purpose flour in a ratio somewhere between two parts cake flour to one part all-purpose and one part cake flour to one part all-purpose.

- Bake in a shallow, well greased pan about an hour in a 325 degree oven.
