2 slices cinnamon raisin bread, toasted, cut into cubes (about 1 cup)
1/2 cup chopped apple (1/2 medium)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine

  • Heat oven to 350. With sharp knife, make pocket in each pork chop by cutting into side of chop toward bone.

  • Meanwhile, in 1-quart saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch; stir in apple juice. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat; stir in butter.
  • Pour glaze evenly over chops; bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes longer or until pork is no longer pink in center.

Tips for Making the Best Apple-Glazed Stuffed Pork Chops:

  • Choose the right pork chops: Look for center-cut pork chops that are about 1 inch thick. These will cook evenly and stay juicy.
  • Make sure the pork chops are completely thawed before cooking: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Don't overstuff the pork chops: The stuffing should be just enough to fill the pocket without making the pork chops too thick.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork chops are cooked to the proper temperature: The internal temperature should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, 155 degrees Fahrenheit for medium, and 165 degrees Fahrenheit for well-done.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute and make the meat more tender.
  • Serve the pork chops with your favorite sides: Mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and a green salad are all great options.

Conclusion:

Apple-glazed stuffed pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. With a few simple tips, you can make sure your pork chops turn out perfect every time. So next time you're looking for a tasty and impressive meal, give this recipe a try.
