My grandchildren wanted something other than the usual French Toast. We gathered our ingredients and started to create! This was an easy and fun recipe... A great Sunday breakfast! Most of us ate this as is, but two chose to drizzle a little maple syrup over the top. We love to Play With Our Food!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 stick butter, room temperature
3 tube(s) refrigerated biscuits
1 can(s) apple pie filling
3/4 c brown sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
6 large egg
3/4 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Heavily butter glass 9 x 13 baking dish
  • 3. Spread can of apple pie filling (can use other flavors) over bottom of buttered baking dish.
  • 4. Open tubes of biscuits. Cut or tear apart each biscuit into 4 pieces. Put on top of apple pie filling.
  • 5. Mix remaining butter, cinnamon and brown sugar together. Sprinkle over biscuit pieces.
  • 6. Beat the eggs and milk together. Pour over the top of everything.
  • 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Should be cooked and golden brown.
  • 8. Cut into squares and serve warm. *** can drizzle with thin icing or maple syrup.

4 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
