Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: For the best flavor and texture, use a combination of tart and sweet apples. Some good options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady.
  • Don't overcook the apples: The apples should be tender but still hold their shape. If you overcook them, they will become mushy and the crisp will be less flavorful.
  • Use fresh blueberries: Fresh blueberries will give the crisp the best flavor. If you don't have fresh blueberries, you can use frozen blueberries, but be sure to thaw them before using.
  • Make sure the oatmeal topping is evenly distributed: The oatmeal topping should be evenly distributed over the apples and blueberries. This will help to ensure that the crisp is cooked evenly.
  • Bake the crisp until the topping is golden brown: The crisp is done baking when the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.

Conclusion:

Apple blueberry crisp with oatmeal topping is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of tart apples, sweet blueberries, and crunchy oatmeal topping is sure to please everyone. With a few simple tips, you can make a perfect apple blueberry crisp every time.
