8 oz blueberries
1 lb strawberries, diced
3 Tbsp all-fruit preserves, any flavor
10 flour or whole wheat tortillas (10 inch)
pam cooking spray
4 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix kiwis, Fuji apples, blueberries, strawberries and fruit preserves. Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  • 3. Coat one side of each flour tortilla with cooking spray. Cut into 8 wedges. In gallon size Baggie put sugar and cinnamon. Add wedges to coat. On cookie sheet spread out wedges. Spray again with cooking spray.
  • 4. Bake in preheated oven 10 -12 minutes. Repeat with any remaining tortilla wedges. Allow to cool approximately 15 minutes. Serve with chilled fruit mixture.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, flavorful fruits for the best flavor in your salsa. Aim for fruits with vibrant colors, no bruises, and a sweet aroma. Some great options include mangoes, pineapples, strawberries, and peaches.
  • Use a variety of fruits to create a complex and interesting salsa. A good rule of thumb is to use 3-4 different types of fruits.
  • If you like a spicy salsa, add a jalapeño or serrano pepper. Be sure to remove the seeds and ribs before chopping, as this is where the heat is concentrated.
  • For a sweeter salsa, add a little bit of honey or agave nectar. You can also add a squeeze of lime juice for a tangy flavor.
  • Serve the salsa immediately or store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors will meld together and become even more delicious over time.
  • For the cinnamon chips, use high-quality corn tortillas. This will ensure that the chips are crispy and flavorful.
  • Be sure to coat the tortillas evenly with the cinnamon sugar mixture. This will help the chips to brown evenly and develop a delicious flavor.
  • Bake the chips in a preheated oven until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on the chips so that they don't burn.
  • Serve the cinnamon chips immediately with the fruit salsa. Enjoy!
