Steps:
- 1. I process bologna in food processor till pretty fine.
- 2. Place in large bowl; adding all other ingredients. Stirring till well blended. I don't measure mayo, I go by the thickness we prefer.
- 3. Refrigerate overnight, it is so much better after the flavors have time to mingle. Serve on bread or even crackers. Enjoy!
HAM SPREAD
This recipe uses leftover ham with onion and dill pickle relish for a delicious sandwich spread or dip for crackers. You can substitute 10 green olives with pimentos for the dill pickle relish.

HAM SALAD SPREAD
My family has enjoyed this hearty ham salad recipe for years. It came to be an unexpected leftover every time we had ham for a special dinner. Recently, I decided to measure the ingredients, write down the recipe and pass it on to my daughter and daughter-in-law. They encouraged me to share it with Reminisce readers. -Marcella Kulp, Quakertown, Pennsylvania

AMISH HAM SALAD
When it comes to ham salad this is top of the list for me....I love this version and ever since I tried some at a local Amish store I had to learn how to make it. It is a simple recipe and can be seasoned up if you want. I have altered a recipe I found in an Amish newspaper and my main addition is the horsey sauce, which I love....

Steps:
- 1. Shredding the baby swiss cheese, chop the ham and rinse/drain the sauerkraut really well. I usually squeeze the kraut with my hands to get the most liquid out as possible.
- 2. Add all your ingredients in a bowl and stir together till well combined.
- 3. This is the horsey sauce that I use. It most certainly has a bite to it.
- 4. Salad is ready
- 5. Sammie with Amish Ham Salad
- 6. I used my Grammie's Homemade Mayonnaise recipe for this and it paired well with the ham and swiss. https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/sauce-spread/dressing/homemade-mayonnaise.html?p=1
Tips:
- Ensure Fresh Ingredients: Use the freshest ingredients possible, especially the ham and cream cheese, to create the best-tasting spread.
- Finely Chop the Ham: Finely chop the ham so that it evenly distributes throughout the spread and provides a consistent texture.
- Use Quality Cream Cheese: Opt for a high-quality cream cheese that is smooth and flavorful. Avoid using spreadable cream cheese as it may result in a softer consistency.
- Chill the Spread Before Serving: After preparing the spread, refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the spread to firm up slightly.
- Enhance with Spices: Feel free to customize the spread by adding your favorite spices or herbs, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika, to enhance the flavor profile.
