1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut

1 cup walnuts (optional) or 1 cup pecans (optional)

Steps:

  • Gently mix all the ingredients.

Tips:

  • Use fresh fruits: Fresh fruits add a natural sweetness and flavor to ambrosia salad that is unmatched by canned or frozen fruits. Choose ripe, in-season fruits for the best results.
  • Don't overmix the salad: Ambrosia salad is a delicate dish, so it's important to mix it gently. Overmixing can break down the fruits and make the salad mushy.
  • Chill the salad before serving: Ambrosia salad is best served chilled. This allows the flavors to meld together and the salad to firm up slightly.
  • Serve ambrosia salad in individual bowls or glasses: This allows each person to enjoy their own portion of salad without having to worry about sharing.
  • Garnish the salad with whipped cream, chopped nuts, or fresh mint: This adds a touch of elegance and flavor to the salad.
