MANGO PEACH SALSA

Mango Peach Salsa image

Make and share this Mango Peach Salsa recipe from Food.com.

Provided by chia2160

Categories     Sauces

Time 20m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 mango, peeled, diced
3 peaches, peeled and diced
1 jalapeno pepper, diced
1 vidalia onion, chopped
1 red pepper, diced
3 scallions, sliced
3 limes, juice of

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients, serve.

Tips:

  • Use ripe mangoes and peaches: The sweetness and flavor of the salsa will depend on the quality of the fruit you use. Make sure your mangoes and peaches are ripe and juicy.
  • Choose the right kind of onion: Red onions have a sharper flavor than yellow onions, so choose the type of onion that best suits your taste preferences. Generally, red onion will give you a bolder flavor.
  • Chop the ingredients finely: This will help the salsa to come together and make it easier to eat. It's best to avoid chunks of fruits and onion.
  • Add some heat: If you like your salsa with a little bit of a kick, add some chopped jalapeño pepper or cayenne pepper. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh herbs like cilantro and mint can add a lot of flavor to the salsa. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but they won't be as flavorful.
  • Let the salsa chill before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld together and develop. It also makes the salsa more refreshing.

Conclusion:

This mango peach salsa is a delicious and versatile condiment that can be used in a variety of dishes. It's perfect for tacos, burritos, grilled chicken or fish, or even as a dip for chips. The combination of sweet mangoes, juicy peaches, and tangy onions creates a flavor that is both refreshing and satisfying. You can use any type of mango, but I recommend using a ripe Ataulfo or Kent mango which will have the best flavor. The same with peaches, I recommend using ripe yellow peaches. If you can't find fresh peaches, you can use frozen peaches instead. Just thaw them before using. This salsa is also very easy to make, so it's perfect for a quick and easy snack or meal.
