QUICK AND EASY JAMBALAYA
This recipe is a quick and easy way to enjoy jambalaya without spending too much time in the kitchen. It has just enough spice to give it a kick without making it too spicy. I use turkey kielbasa to make this recipe a little more healthy. I also suggest making your own home-mixed Cajun seasoning to avoid too many unnecessary additives.

JEN'S JAMBALAYA
My family loves a lot of flavor and spice in our food and jambalaya delivers. This is my version of a New Orleans jambalaya that's got a nice kick to it but not overly hot for those whose tongues can't handle it.

ALL AMERICAN JAMBALAYA
This recipe came from a 4-H cookbook I had back in the early 80's. It's nothing like real jambalaya.

Steps:
- Melt butter in large skillet.
- Saute onion, green pepper, and beef until browned.
- Drain fat.
- Drain tomatoes, and add enough water to juice to make 1 1/2 cups.
- Add tomatoes, bay leaf, salt, sugar, and liquid.
- Bring to a slow boil.
- Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add rice.
- Cover and simmer another 5 minutes.
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make your jambalaya shine. Look for plump shrimp, succulent chicken, and colorful vegetables.
- Don't overcrowd the pot: When cooking jambalaya, it's important to give the ingredients enough space to cook properly. If you overcrowd the pot, the rice will not cook evenly and the vegetables will become mushy.
- Cook the rice separately: For the best results, cook the rice separately from the other ingredients. This will help to prevent the rice from becoming overcooked and mushy.
- Use a variety of vegetables: Jambalaya is a great way to use up leftover vegetables. Feel free to add any vegetables that you like, such as bell peppers, onions, celery, carrots, or okra.
- Season to taste: Jambalaya is a flavorful dish, so don't be afraid to season it to taste. Add salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste.
Conclusion:
Jambalaya is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
