AIR FRYER MEATBALLS

Air Fryer Meatballs image

After cooking meatballs in the air fryer, I will never bake them in the oven again. The insides stay nice and tender while the outsides get a slight crisp on them. The best part is that you can make them ahead of time and freeze for later use. I have included those directions in the notes. Dip meatballs in marinara, if desired.

Tips:

  • Use ground meat with a higher fat content (80/20 or 85/15). This will help keep the meatballs moist and juicy.
  • Add plenty of seasonings to the meat mixture. This will give the meatballs lots of flavor.
  • Be sure to mix the meat mixture thoroughly. This will help to ensure that the meatballs are evenly seasoned.
  • Form the meatballs into small, uniform balls. This will help them to cook evenly.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. This will prevent the meatballs from cooking evenly.
  • Cook the meatballs at a high temperature (400 degrees Fahrenheit or higher). This will help to create a crispy crust on the outside of the meatballs while keeping the inside moist.
  • Shake the air fryer basket halfway through the cooking time. This will help to ensure that the meatballs cook evenly.
  • Check the internal temperature of the meatballs with a meat thermometer to make sure that they are cooked through. The internal temperature should be at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
