AIR FRYER JALAPEñO POPPERS WITH BACON
These bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers were my dad's go-to party recipe and always a huge hit! He baked them in the oven, but I've discovered they cook in the air fryer in less than one-fourth of the time!

Time 30m
Yield 10 large or 20 small jalapeño poppers
Number Of Ingredients 5
Steps:
- Preheat an air fryer to 375 degrees F (if preheating is necessary; see Cook's Note for oven directions).
- Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the ribs and seeds (see Cook's Note). Using a small rubber spatula or spoon, fill the jalapeño halves with the cream cheese. If using large jalapeños, wrap each half with 1 slice of the bacon, tucking in the ends. (If using smaller jalapeños, cut each slice of bacon in half crosswise before wrapping.)
- Place the jalapeños (cream cheese side up) in a single layer in the air fryer and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked through and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly and sprinkle with the cilantro and lime juice, if using, and serve!
Tips:
- Choose the right jalapeños: Look for medium-sized jalapeños that are firm and have no blemishes.
- Wear gloves when handling jalapeños: The capsaicin in jalapeños can irritate your skin, so it's best to wear gloves when cutting and seeding them.
- Remove the seeds and ribs from the jalapeños: This will help to reduce the heat of the poppers.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the bacon: This will help to prevent the bacon from tearing.
- Wrap the jalapeños tightly with bacon: This will help to keep the filling from leaking out.
- Cook the poppers until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted: This will usually take about 10-12 minutes.
- Serve the poppers immediately: They're best enjoyed hot and fresh.
Conclusion:
Air fryer bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers are a delicious and easy appetizer that is perfect for any party or gathering. They're crispy, cheesy, and have just the right amount of heat. Plus, they're made in the air fryer, so they're healthier than traditional fried poppers. So next time you're looking for a tasty and easy appetizer, give these air fryer bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers a try!
