Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon sweet paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 1/4 pounds individually cut St. Louis-style pork spareribs

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the salt, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, poultry seasoning, mustard powder, and pepper. Add the ribs and toss and rub the seasonings into them with your hands until they're fully coated.
  • Arrange the ribs in the air fryer basket standing up on their ends and leaned up against the wall of the basket and each other. Cook at 350°F until the ribs are tender inside and golden brown and crisp on the outside, about 35 minutes. Transfer the ribs to plates and serve hot.

Tips:

  • For best results, use baby back pork ribs that are about 1 inch thick and evenly sized.
  • Trim any excess fat from the ribs, but leave the membrane on the back of the ribs intact.
  • Season the ribs generously with your favorite rub or spices. You can use a pre-made rub or create your own by combining different spices like garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, and chili powder.
  • Place the ribs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the basket.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook the ribs for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and slightly browned.
  • Flip the ribs halfway through cooking to ensure that they cook evenly.
  • If desired, brush the ribs with a glaze or sauce during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

Air fryer pork shoulder ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that can be enjoyed by the whole family. They are perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend barbecue.
