  • Choose the Right Apples: Use a variety of apples with a mix of sweet and tart flavors, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn.
  • Slice Apples Thinly: This will ensure they cook evenly and become tender in the cake.
  • Use Unsalted Butter: It allows you to control the amount of salt in the recipe and prevents the cake from becoming too salty.
  • Cream Butter and Sugar Together: This step incorporates air into the batter, resulting in a light and fluffy texture.
  • Add Eggs One at a Time: This prevents the batter from curdling and ensures a smooth mixture.
  • Sift Dry Ingredients: This helps to distribute the ingredients evenly and prevents lumps in the batter.
  • Do Not Overmix the Batter: Overmixing can result in a tough and dense cake.
  • Bake the Cake Until a Toothpick Inserted into the Center Comes Out Clean: This indicates that the cake is fully cooked.
