1 pound ground sirloin beef (90% lean)
1 small onion, chopped
2 cans (15 oz each) OR 2 cartons (14.8 oz each) Hunt's® Tomato Sauce
1 can (14.5 oz each) Hunt's® Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic & Oregano, undrained
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, cook beef with onion in large skillet over medium-high heat 7 minutes or until beef is crumbled and no longer pink, stirring occasionally; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, oil and brown sugar; blend well.

I've never found another like it and it seems that many people haven't since I lost it and tried on here, Hunt's website, and many, many other places to find it again. I'm posting it here so it won't get lost again. If you are into canning, make a bunch. Give this sauce time to thicken. It's even better the next day!

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 cup onion (chopped)
2 -4 garlic cloves (minced)
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
3 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sweet basil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 -2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons oil (if using extra lean meat)

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger.
  • Add garlic and onion, cook till tender.

2 tablespoons olive oil
4 (3.5 ounce) links sweet Italian sausage
½ pound cubed flank steak
8 links pork sausage
3 onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
2 bay leaves
1 pinch ground cinnamon
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
2 pounds lean ground beef
2 eggs
4 slices white bread, cut into cubes
½ cup grated Romano cheese
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
1 pinch dried parsley
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 (16 ounce) packages macaroni

Steps:

  • In a large stock pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage, beef chunks, sausage links, onion, and garlic: cook and stir until meat is thoroughly done.
