1/2 c peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c quick cooking oatmeal (i use the 1 minute type)

Steps:

  • 1. In a saucepan on the stove, add the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk; mix until combined.

  • 8. Let cool until they are set - takes about 20 minutes or so.

Tips:

  • Use melted butter. This will help the cookies spread and create a chewy texture.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes. This will help the cookies hold their shape when baking.
  • Use a cookie scoop to drop the dough onto the baking sheet. This will help the cookies be evenly sized.
  • Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
