Tips:

  • Choose the right pork roast: For this recipe, a pork loin roast is recommended as it cooks evenly and stays moist. However, you can also use a pork shoulder roast if you prefer darker meat with more flavor.
  • Sear the pork before roasting: Searing the pork roast in a hot skillet before roasting helps to develop a nice crust and lock in the juices.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade in this recipe is made with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and lemon juice. This combination of ingredients infuses the pork with flavor and helps to keep it moist during cooking.
  • Roast the pork at a moderate temperature: For this recipe, the pork roast is roasted at 375°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes. This temperature allows the pork to cook through without drying out.
  • Make sure the pork is cooked through: To ensure that the pork is cooked through, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast. The pork is cooked when the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • Let the pork rest before carving: After the pork is cooked, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful roast.
