"I love this whole-grain bread because it makes a pretty loaf with a great texture," says Carol Forcum of Marion, Illinois. "It's not at all heavy...in spite of the whole-wheat flour and wheat germ."

WHOLE WHEAT YOGURT HONEY DINNER ROLLS BREAD MACHINE
The mixture of Yoghurt and Honey is delightful. Of all my bread recipes, this is the family favorite. Note: some folks think the rolls are a little sweet, some have suggested cutting the honey back by half.

WHEAT 'N YOGURT BREAD FOR BREAD MACHINE
This is my go-to recipe for my bread machine. I make a couple loaves every week. The recipe came in the booklet along with my machine...I wish I could find that booklet but luckily I wrote the recipe down. Since I'm messy with flour, I like to only measure these ingredients occasionally. I like to measure out all the dry ingredients, except the yeast, and store in a gallon-size baggie in the freezer. I make all at once about 6 baggies, so when I want to make a quick loaf before I go to bed, I just have to add the water, yogurt, my baggie of dry ingredients, the butter, and yeast. It's SO convenient.

Steps:
- Follow your breadmaker's instructions regarding how to add ingredients. My breadmaker requests me to do the following:.
- Add liquids to the bread pan first, then dry. Level the dry; quarter the butter and add to corners. Make an impression in the center of the dry ingredients and add the yeast.
- If bread collapses during the baking period, next time add 1 or 1 ½ tablespoons vital wheat gluten to the recipe to prevent from happening again.
- I set my bread maker to 'whole wheat', 'light crust', '2 lb loaf'.

WHOLE WHEAT & RYE YOGURT FLAX BREAD
It has a hearty flavor without being overly heavy or sour. I experimented with the rye & whole wheat/gluten balance to create a loaf that would rise a reasonable amount, and be appealing to my children. All three of my children love this one, and come back asking for more.

BREAD MACHINE WHEAT ROLLS WITH YOGURT & OATS RECIPE - (4.6/5)
Provided by Beckylynn

Steps:
- In your bread machine, combine 3/4 cup oats with the water. Let sit for 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT the cream and extra 2 tablespoons of oats. Run machine on dough setting. When it's done, take out the dough and punch it down. Turn the dough out onto a Silpat baking sheet or a baking sheet lined with butter and cornmeal. Flatten dough into a circle about 2 inches thick and cut squares with a butter knife. These will be your rolls. Mold and shape the edges a little then make a shallow criss-cross cut on top of each one, brush with cream and sprinkle with the remaining oats. Pop the whole pan into the oven, covered by a clean towel, and let rise for one hour. The warmth of a bowl of hot water on the rack under your rolls will help the rising process. When the rolls have doubled in size, heat the oven to 375°F and bake for about 15 minutes, until golden on top. Then invite friends over immediately. *To make ahead, bake 12-13 minutes and freeze cooled rolls in a zip-top plastic bag. Pop them in a 375°F oven when you're ready to serve, about 2-3 minutes.
Tips:
- Activate the Yeast Properly: Ensure the water temperature is between 105°F (40°C) and 115°F (46°C) to activate the yeast effectively.
- Proof the Dough: Allow the dough to rise in a warm, draft-free place until it doubles in size. This step ensures a light and airy texture in the final bread.
- Knead the Dough Thoroughly: Kneading develops the gluten in the dough, resulting in a strong and elastic texture. Knead for at least 5-7 minutes or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
- Shape the Dough Properly: When shaping the dough into loaves, ensure they are evenly shaped and have a tight surface tension. This helps create a uniform rise and even baking.
- Use a Dutch Oven: Baking the bread in a Dutch oven creates a steamy environment, resulting in a crispy crust and a soft, chewy interior.
