2 cups coconut milk
3 cups milk
2 cups rice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • In saucepan add coconut milk, and milk. Bring to boil.
  • Add rice, salt, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom (if using).
  • Cover and cook until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  • Add 2 tablespoons butter.
  • Serve.

1 3/4 cups long-grain white rice
1 1/4 cups water
400 ml coconut cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 pinch saffron thread

Steps:

  • Soak the rice in a large bowl of cold water for 30 minutes.
  • Pour the rice into a strainer and rinse under cold running water to remove all excess starch. Rinse until the water runs through the rice clear.
