CLASSIC YEAST DINNER ROLLS

Steps:
- In the bowl of a stand mixer or large mixing bowl, mix milk, yeast, butter, sugar, egg, and salt. If you don't have a stand mixer, mix vigorously with a wooden spoon or hand mixer. Add in flour 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well between each addition. Stop adding flour when it is no longer sticky. Use your mixer's dough hook attachment for 10 minutes or knead by hand. Place in a buttered bowl and let rise in a warm spot until doubled. This can take a few hours at room temperature, but it can go faster if you turn the oven to 200, turn it off, and then place the bowl in the oven (make sure it's turned off!) After dough has risen, punch down gently and divide into 12 equal pieces. Form the dough pieces into a roll. Place rolls in a greased 9×13 glass dish. Let rise until doubled (again, using the oven trick can make it go faster). Once rolls have risen, bake at 375F for 18-25 minutes. Brush with butter.

Place 12 rolls in a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 20-30 minutes. Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. - 2. In a microwave safe bowl add milk, water and butter and heat in microwave on HIGH power until it reaches 115 degrees on a thermometer, about 1 minute 15 seconds. Stir to make sure butter is soft, you don't want it melted completely. Add lemon juice and give a light stir.
- 3. Pour milk mixture into dry mixture in bowl of electric stand mixer along with lemon juice. Set mixer with dough hook attachment then set mixer on low speed and gradually increase speed to med. low and let mix 4-5 minutes until smooth and elastic add additional flour as necessary dough should be pillowy and soft and slightly stick to your hands but will come off of them clean..... not real sticky
- 4. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or towel and let sit 5 minutes.
- 5. line a 9x13 cake pan with parchment paper. Or you can butter the pan for a crunchier bottom on your roll.
- 6. Remove dough to a floured surface and press into a rectangle about 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Use pizza cutter, dough blade or knife and cut into 2 inch squares or close to it. You can tell by the photo you will get all sizes that's one thing I love about these they are not perfect just awesome tasting!

- 9. Remove from oven after the 20 minutes and just let them hang out on counter while you pre-heat oven to 375 degree.
- 10. Bake rolls for 13-15 minutes until golden brown. Brush tops with melted butter and ENJOY!

Tips:
- Activate the yeast properly: Make sure the water is warm enough (around 110-115°F or 45°C) and that the yeast is fresh. If the water is too hot, it will kill the yeast, and if it's too cold, the yeast won't activate properly.
- Knead the dough well: Kneading the dough helps develop the gluten, which gives the rolls their chewy texture. Knead the dough for at least 5-7 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough needs to rise in a warm place in order to double in size. This usually takes about 1-2 hours, depending on the temperature of the room.
- Shape the rolls evenly: When shaping the rolls, make sure they are all about the same size. This will help them bake evenly.
- Bake the rolls at a high temperature: Baking the rolls at a high temperature (400°F or 200°C) will help them brown and develop a crispy crust.
Conclusion:
These yeast dinner rolls are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that can be served with any meal. They are soft and fluffy on the inside, with a golden brown crust on the outside. With a few simple tips and tricks, you can make perfect yeast dinner rolls every time. So next time you're looking for a homemade bread recipe, give these rolls a try!
