This is my husband's favorite way to have pork chops. They are always tender and juicy and taste wonderful. You can adjust the seasonings by adding, omitting, or substituting to your taste. Most of the time the only seasoning I use is plain salt and pepper.

4 to 6 pork chops, about 1/2-inch thick
2 tsp season salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp Hungarian paprika
about 1/3 c all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
baking spray

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Rinse pork chops and shake off excess water. Sprinkle desired seasonings on both sides and dredge in flour.
  • 2. Add butter or margarine and vegetable oil to a shallow baking pan. Heat in the oven just until butter is melted. Take care not to overheat.
  • 3. Tilt the pan to make sure the liquids cover the entire bottom. Arrange the floured chops in the pan.
  • 4. Bake for 20 minutes.
