Tips:

  • Use chilled ingredients: For the best flavor and texture, make sure all of your ingredients are chilled before making the martini.
  • Use a quality gin and dry vermouth: The quality of your gin and vermouth will greatly affect the taste of your martini. Choose high-quality brands that you enjoy the taste of.
  • Use a good ratio of gin to vermouth: The classic ratio for a martini is 2 ounces of gin to 1 ounce of dry vermouth. However, you can adjust this ratio to suit your own taste preferences.
  • Stir, don't shake: Shaking a martini will cause it to become cloudy. Instead, stir it gently with a bar spoon until it is well-chilled and diluted.
