Tips:

  • Fresh cranberries: Use fresh cranberries for the best flavor and texture. Frozen cranberries can be used in a pinch, but they will not be as flavorful.
  • Coating the cranberries in sugar: Coating the cranberries in sugar before adding them to the batter helps to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the muffins.
  • Muffin batter: Make sure the muffin batter is well-mixed, but do not overmix it. Overmixing the batter can result in tough muffins.
  • Muffin pan: Grease or line the muffin pan with paper liners before filling it with batter. This will help the muffins to come out of the pan easily.
  • Baking time: Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking the muffins can result in dry muffins.
