Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen wild blueberries: Fresh wild blueberries are available in season during the summer months. If you can't find fresh wild blueberries, frozen wild blueberries will work just as well.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will result in a tough cake. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven: Preheat the oven to the desired temperature before you start baking the cake. This will help to ensure that the cake bakes evenly.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it: This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
  • Use a cream cheese frosting: A cream cheese frosting is a classic pairing for a wild blueberry cake. It's rich and tangy, and it perfectly complements the sweet blueberries.

Conclusion:

This wild blueberry cake is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's made with fresh or frozen wild blueberries, and it has a moist and tender crumb. The cream cheese frosting is the perfect finishing touch.
