Turn the cake out onto the plate and spoon the rest of the glaze over the top.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality white wine. A dry or semi-dry white wine with a fruity flavor is best.
  • Don't overbeat the batter. Overbeating can make the cake tough.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven. This will help the cake rise evenly.
  • Don't open the oven door while the cake is baking. This can cause the cake to fall.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting to set properly.
