Categories     Beverage

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 medium lime ((thinly sliced into rounds))
1 medium lemon ((thinly sliced into rounds))
1/4 cup organic cane sugar ((or sub agave, powdered coconut sugar, maple syrup, or stevia to taste // for drier sangria, omit))
1/4 cup apple brandy
1/2 medium organic green apple ((cored, skin on, chopped into small pieces))
1 medium ripe peach or nectarine ((thinly sliced))
1 cup sliced strawberries
1 750-ml bottle dry, crisp white wine
Ice or frozen berries for serving
Sparkling water ((optional))
Fresh mint ((optional))

Steps:

  • Add lime, lemon, and sugar (or other sweeteners) to a large pitcher (or use multiple pitchers if making a larger batch) and muddle with a muddler or gently crush with a wooden spoon for 45 seconds.
  • Add apple brandy and muddle again to combine for 30 seconds. Add apple, nectarine, and strawberries and stir to incorporate. Then add wine and stir once more.
  • Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more sweetener of choice for sweetness, lemon or lime juice for acidity, or fruit. Stir to combine.
  • Add ice or frozen berries and stir once more to chill. Serve as is or with a bit more ice and mint (optional). To dilute the mixture, top off glasses with a bit of sparkling water (optional).
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours, though best when enjoyed within the first 1-2 days.

FROZEN SANGRIA

Frozen Sangria image

FROZEN WHITE SANGRIA

Frozen White Sangria image

Like a boozy slushie! This fruity concoction relies on wine, brandy, and frozen stone fruit and strawberries.

Provided by Martha Stewart

Categories     Food & Cooking     Drink Recipes

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 peach, chopped and frozen until hardened
1/2 plum, chopped and frozen until hardened
3 strawberries, chopped and frozen until hardened
1 tablespoon frozen orange juice concentrate
3 tablespoons superfine sugar
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons brandy
1 1/2 cups small ice cubes

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve.

Tips:

  • Use frozen fruit: Frozen fruit is key for this recipe because it helps to keep the sangria cold and slushy. You can use any type of frozen fruit you like, but berries, citrus fruits, and grapes are all great choices.
  • Choose a dry white wine: A dry white wine will help to balance out the sweetness of the fruit and the sugar. Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay are all good options.
  • Add some sparkling water or club soda: This will help to add some fizz to the sangria and make it more refreshing.
  • Serve immediately: White sangria is best served immediately after it is made. If you need to make it ahead of time, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Conclusion:

White sangria is a refreshing and easy-to-make summer cocktail. It's perfect for parties or gatherings, and it can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and festive drink that everyone will enjoy.
