Tips:

  • For the creamiest mashed potatoes, use starchy potatoes like russets or Yukon Golds.
  • To prevent the potatoes from becoming gluey, don't overmix them. Mash them until they are just smooth.
  • To make the horseradish sauce, use fresh horseradish root if you can find it. If you can't find fresh horseradish, use prepared horseradish sauce.
  • Adjust the amount of horseradish sauce to taste. If you like a lot of heat, add more horseradish sauce. If you prefer a milder flavor, add less.
  • Serve the whipped potatoes immediately with the horseradish sauce on top.

Conclusion:

Whipped potatoes with horseradish are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. They are creamy, flavorful, and have a nice kick of heat from the horseradish. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
