WHEAT BEER ROLLS

Wheat Beer Rolls image

Not your everyday roll. Sort of a cross between a biscuit and a roll, but better than both! A good quality unfiltered hefeweizen will give these rolls a rich wheaty color when baked, which makes them look and taste healthy! I use Franziskaner Hefeweizen in my recipe, but any wheat beer will do. Goes great with a bowl of chili, but would even stand up to the best tenderloin or prime rib! Your friends will want this recipe!

BEER ROLLS

Provided by Zanna_409104061

Categories     Breads

Time 20m

Yield 12 rolls

Number Of Ingredients 3

4 cups biscuit mix
1/4 cup sugar
12 ounces beer

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • In large bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • Spoon into muffin pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden.

Tips:

  • Activate the yeast properly: Proof the yeast in warm water with a little sugar before adding it to the dough. This will help ensure that the yeast is active and will produce a light and fluffy bread.
  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better the bread will taste. Use high-quality flour, fresh yeast, and cold milk.
  • Knead the dough properly: Kneading the dough develops the gluten, which gives the bread its structure. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough needs to rise in a warm place in order to double in size. This will take about 1 hour.
  • Bake the bread at a high temperature: The bread should be baked at a high temperature (400°F) for the first 15 minutes. This will create a crispy crust.
  • Let the bread cool before slicing: Allow the bread to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This will help prevent the bread from crumbling.

Conclusion:

Wheat beer rolls are a delicious and easy-to-make bread that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for sandwiches, burgers, or simply eating on their own.
