Tips for Making a Perfect Western Sandwich

  • Use high-quality ingredients. The fresher your ingredients, the better your sandwich will taste. Look for thick-cut ham, melty cheese, and ripe tomatoes.
  • Cook your bacon until it's crispy. This will add a nice smoky flavor to your sandwich. You can cook it in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes.
  • Toast your bread. This will help it hold up to the fillings and make it less likely to get soggy.
  • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one slice of bread. This will help to keep the bread moist and flavorful.
  • Add the fillings. Start with a slice of ham, then add a slice of cheese, a fried egg, and some bacon. Top with a slice of tomato and some lettuce.
  • Season the sandwich with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Close the sandwich with the remaining slice of bread.
  • Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
