3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup unpacked light brown sugar
1/4 lb butter, melted 1 stick

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F.
  • Place berries in a medium bowl. In another medium bowl, combine flour and sugar. Remove 3 tablespoons of flour mixture and gently toss with berries. Place berries in an 8-inch square pan.

1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons orange zest, finely grated
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar, divided
1 teaspoon sugar, divided
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1/3 cup low-fat buttermilk
